Add a Little Sparkle to Your Life

Joy

The sparkles of life are the moments- the experiences of pure pleasure; it is that exquisite dinner, that breathtaking sunset, that intense and connected time with a loved one. They are the moments that make up our fondest memories. They are what makes life worth living.

We seek for love, happiness, companionship and experiences, all because these feel good. It therefore stands to reason that when something feels good to go with it, and when something feels bad, leave it. Joy, happiness, love- all feel good. They are the spark of life. Here are some ways to help create more sparkle in your life:

  1. Count your blessings: Begin NOW! Look in your immediate surroundings and circumstances for what feels good. There may be a lot to see or a little, but find it! Focus on it! Think about why it feels good. What senses does it evoke?
  2. Upgrade your experience: Ask yourself, is there anyway I can make these feel good areas feel even better? Example: I love this hot cup of coffee in my hands. It smells wonderful, and is warming to my cold fingers. Perhaps a shake of cinnamon and little cream would make it even better? Can I take 5-10 minutes and sit somewhere to really enjoy it? Maybe even outside listening to the birds, or while reading a small passage from a book I love. Maybe sipping coffee with a friend or spouse is even better?
  3. Remove the Irritants: Are there any distractions or irritations that I can remove now? Do not get caught up in what you can’t do anything about, but rather, just remove or change what you are able. Perhaps you are sitting in the living room and you just clear your coffee table, dust it off and light a candle. Maybe a little child is hampering you. Can you distract him/her for a moment while you enjoy your coffee?
  4. Try new things: Go new places, taste foods you’ve never had, listen to different music, play a new game. If you were a tour guide in your town, where would you take tourists? Are there places nearby you have not yet visited? New experiences can often be exhilarating. The more you experience, the more things you will find that feels good.
  5. Write it down! Keep an ongoing list on a notepad that you can quickly access- perhaps in your notes on your phone or a small paper pad you can keep with you.  Just reading your list regularly will evoke better feelings. Whenever something feels really good, add it to your list.  Incorporate as many of these listed things into your life regularly. Here is a sample list of things that feel really good to me:
  • Laughter
  • Yoga
  • Hot baths
  • Massaging essential oils into my body
  • Puppy time- hugging and petting my dog
  • Brunches with my girlfriends
  • Sipping on hot Chai tea
  • Laying in the sun
  • Warm sand between my toes
  • Swimming
  • Spending time with my grand-daughter
  • Chatting with my children
  • Opening windows and hearing the birds in the mornings
  • Popping a large bowl of buttery popcorn and watching Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter
  • Browsing shops in newly visited towns
  • Outdoor picnics
  • Flying a kite
  • Planting flowers and veggies we love
  • Smelling roses, violets, Lilacs and honey suckle

The more personal and detailed it is, the better. With each thing you add to the list, it should evoke a pleasurable, peaceful, joyful emotion.

Sometimes you will add something to your list and notice that it doesn’t really feel good. Explore this. Perhaps you are doing something that you feel is supposed to feel good, but for you it doesn’t. For example, maybe spending time with your grown children actually feels stressful but you feel like it should be pleasant. The best thing to do is to acknowledge your real feelings, and ask yourself why you feel the way you do about it.  Maybe you stress too much over pleasing them or perhaps they have issues you can do nothing about; but you really desire to be able to enjoy your time with them. This would be an area that is subtly sabotaging your happiness. Meditate and visualize how you wish the relationship was as if it is. Hold this vision as much as your are able, and remove this from your list for now, until it is genuinely something you enjoy. This does not imply that you remove them from your life necessarily but rather you are recognizing what really makes you happy and what doesn’t. Honesty is key to any real growth.

Unhappiness is often because we are not living consciously and not pursuing what feels good. Unless we can really know what feels good to us, we cannot pursue it.

If you do not feel good, you will not be happy. And you will not feel good if you are not seeking, finding and applying to your life those aspects that make you feel good. Its okay for life to be pleasurable. Its okay to add a little sparkle to your day!

Seven Ways to Harness the Full Moon Energy

moon

Tonight is a full moon so everything we do will be amplified. Here are some ways to positively harness the intense energy of the full moon.

  1. Take an aura-cleansing bath. Add a few drops of Frankincense and one of your favorite floral scented essential oils to 1-2 cups of Epsom salts. Place this in a tub of water to soak in. Light candles. Pray for negative attachments to be release and cleared and for your aura to be filled with light and love. I also pray for the Christ spirit to be in me.
  2. Focus on what your highest intentions for your life are and then make a list of things that no longer serve those intentions. Because a full moon goes on the wane, it is the perfect time for letting go of things. Sometimes I do a ritual of burning the paper I wrote the things I want to release from my life, with thankfulness for how those things once served me, but now giving them to the fire to be transmuted into something more positive.
  3. Meditate/pray for others that have illness or particular situations that are not desired. Mentally see the negative aspects put in a bubble and sent out into the universe to dissolve, or placed in a glass boat and sent out to sea and disintegrated into the waters.  Then visualize that person in a healed and healthy place.
  4. Do a home/space cleanse to clear out any negative energy in your environment.
  5. Wash your crystals in cool running water and then set them out under the full moon light overnight to clear and renew their energy.
  6. Create and write out a personal mantra to repeat everyday until the next full moon. It should be something that helps you let go of something, overcome something or manifest something in your experience. It should carry a lot of emotion in it. It could be releasing a grudge: “I release this person from the anger I feel. I send them love and good will. I no longer hold onto the past.” A manifestation mantra could be, “I now receive abundance with joy and satisfaction in my life’s work.” Google “Creating Mantras” if you need ideas, but be sure to really personalize it.
  7. And finally, how about a moon party? Invite a couple close friends. Sit out under the moon. Do a ritual together, or just dance and celebrate the beauty of the full moon. Remember, the energies you put out will be intensified under a full moon. So celebrate. Allow life to be enchanting.

Removing Dark Spirits, Entities or Vibes from Your Home

Space clearing2

This morning I answered a post in a Facebook Group to a woman who was seeking help to get rid of a dark presence she felt in her new place of residence. I decided to share what has worked for me here for others who are searching for help in this area.

First, it is important to understand that EVERYTHING in this universe vibrates at a frequency. The highest emotional vibration is LOVE and the lowest emotional vibration is FEAR. Hence the scripture, “Perfect love casts out fear.”  High vibrations cannot stay in the same space as low vibrations- just as light dispels dark, so do higher vibration replace low vibrations.

Low vibration entities will have a very difficult time hanging around someone or some place with high vibrations. If you are fearful, the lower vibrations feed off this and become stronger. If you feel like you cannot shake your fear, then perhaps you should find someone who has experience in clearing entities from homes to do it for you.

The following steps are things you can do to RAISE your own vibrations and the vibrations of your home, and remove low vibration entities.

Supplies:

  • Frankincense Incense
  • Essential Oils: Frankincense, Rose Absolute, Orange or Lemon
  • Spray bottle
  • Purified water
  • Dust rag
  • Vacuum
  • Pure Sea Salt
  1. Open up all windows and doorways. Get as much fresh air circulating as possible. (If an certain open window or door takes away your sense of safety, keep it closed)
  2. Put on some energy clearing music or sounds. Use music that makes you feel elevated within your spirit. If the links I provide do not do this, then find something that works for you. (*See links below)
  3. Light the Frankincense incense.
  4. Meditate and pray, with gratitude and love. Envision a beautiful white protective light encircling your entire being and space.
  5. Mix in 2 cups of purified water, 10 drops of Frankincense oil, 15 drops of Rose Absolute, 4 drops of Orange or Lemon oil. Pour into squirt bottle. Spray soft cloth with mixture and dust furniture and fixtures throughout house.
  6. Vacuum and or sweep entire house.
  7. Pick up clutter- clutter blocks fresh energy from flowing through. Think of water coming through the entry ways. What would block it from flowing freely through. Furniture should be placed so as not to block this gentle flow. What would the water collect and float away? Put those items away.
  8. Place a small bowl of salt (about 1/4 cup) in rooms that feel especially dark. Remove and discard after a week.
  9. Take the squirt bottle, and beginning at the farthest corner of the house, spraying the water up towards the ceiling in long strokes, left ward, and going clockwise throughout your entire house. Continue clockwise from room to room. Spray around entire entry ways, in closets, under furniture, behind doors. Vibrations can collect, like dust balls do, in places that are stagnant. So be sure to get these areas. As you spray, repeat the following:

I command all entities that are not of love and light and are not here for my highest good and the good of all whom my life touches, to leave. You are not welcome here. Go into the light so you can transcend your present state. I ask that the angel spirits of love and light be with us and protect us and our home. I invite the Christ spirit into our home. (You can use your own words or change this, but be sure to command the dark entities to leave and let them know they are not welcomed there)

Some people use sage burning for the same purpose, which I have done as well, but the smoke bothers me and the water spray works just as well. The essential oils are very high vibrating oils.

Afterwards, spray the water around you and cleanse your vibrations by making a hot herbal tea. Holy basil tea is a really good one to use. Take a bath, adding a few drops of frankincense and lavender or rose absolute oils. Speak words of love into the water. Burn a candle in the bathroom while you bathe.

Repeat ritual anytime negativity is in the air of your home- whether because of a fight,  the presence of a negative entity (this can be physical as well as non-physical),  a scary, depressing negative program was watched in the home, or depressive moods are strong- anything that is lowering your vibrations and making you feel icky within.

To help keep your vibrations high, ask yourself several times a day, “How do I feel and what do I need.” Then take care of your physical, spiritual and emotional body.

Be mindful of what you allow into your home via media- music, TV, computer, books and people- all these can affect the vibrational space and work to bring in or block entities.

The Wisdom of Weeding

daisyGrasp this concept. Every good gardener knows that a beautiful garden begins with weeding. And then weeding has to be maintained.

Now apply this to other areas of your life. You want a nice, clean organized home? Identify and get rid of all the weeds- all the things that clutter and disorganize your home. You want your relationship with your partner to be more romantic and passionate? Identify all the things that suck away the nutrients of that relationship and get rid of them. You want to feel beautiful and healthy? Identify and get rid of all those things that make you feel sickly and ugly.

Really, the entire concept behind weeding a garden can be life transforming. Once the weeds are removed, then we can clearly see what remains and what needs to be added. We can begin to create what we most desire.

Is there an area of your life you feel frustrated with and unhappy about? Sit down with your journal and make a mental diagram of what you wish it to be like or feel like. Next. identify the weeds – the things that don’t belong in the picture; then, go to work on uprooting those things. Once the weeds are removed, start adding to the picture what you desire.

Ask yourself, “How do I want this relationship to feel? How do I want my home to feel? How do I want to feel in my own skin? Apply this exercise to any other problem area in your life, and watch the magic of co-creation happen!

Always remember, we get out of life what we put into it! Take time this weekend to dream and create the life you truly want to manifest.

Are You Normal?

normal

Normal- Conforming to a standard. Usual. Typical.

When I read the definition of “normal,” I feel a sort of sickening, boredom in the word- like a insipid cup of soup.

Yet, this is what society at large demands from it’s citizens- to be normal. If someone varies from off the normal-path, doctors, psychologists, and a variety of so-called specialist are summoned to figure out why they are not conforming to the given standard, why they are not usual or typical, and even worse, to try and “fix” them- to make them normal.

The reality is, there is no such thing as normal – only conformity. “Normal” is nebulous and relative. Nothing in this world is “abnormal” when given the context of its existence. Many worry about whether or not they are normal, or if their child or someone they love is normal. Why? Does conformity make someone more important? Or does nonconformity devalue a life?

Everything in this world has value in some way. Even those people and things that repel us teach us something about life, love, and what is pleasing verses what is displeasing to us. Every person in your life is a mirror that reflects something about yourself that you can learn from. To demand people to be normal is to put them in cages and chain them. It is to stifle their growth and potential, to rob them of their freedom, and to suck the very essence of life from their soul- a profound love for who they truly are.

The following video is a wonderful example of a young man- who is very normal given the context of his life, and has blessed humanity with a unique and awesome gift. You too, are gifted, talented and unique. YOU are both normal, given the context of your life, and unique- there is no other YOU in this world. Enjoy your beautiful self!

“The idea that some lives matter less is the root of all that is wrong with the world.”

From Self-Hate to Self-Love

The human heart is the only thing in this world
that weighs more when it’s broken
~Michaelxavier

Self-hate is probably the most painful and destructive emotion a person can experience. It has it’s roots in the formative years of childhood where we see ourselves through the mirror of other people’s eyes. If love and acceptance do not out-weigh the negative perceptions we are given, self-hate can become a life-long struggle. Childhood abuse compounds self-hate to a point that people sometimes find no way out of the perpetual cycle of heartache and sorrow; indeed, many choose to end their own lives.

Self-hate can be observed in not taking care of our physical bodies, being out of touch with our true emotions, not having healthy boundaries, consistently putting other peoples needs above our own, not really knowing our true authentic self because we have spent so many years molding ourselves to the whims of others, staying in abusive and unhealthy relationships, not trusting our own perceptions, allowing others to dictate our lives, and even more obvious ways such as inflicting harm to self and constant critical and demeaning inner dialogue about self.

People who have been raised with sufficient love and acceptance have no idea the deep and injurious wounds self-haters are inflicted by. They are invisible to the naked eye and many times healthy people unwittingly inflict them further through indifference and ignorance. But even so, unless one becomes committed to self-love, unless you can make that determination that you are going to be your own best friend, all the love in the world given by others will continually be filtered by those core beliefs forged in the flames of an agonizing childhood.

There is only one way to fully overcome self-hate and that is through self-love. Yet, having battled this myself, I understand how completely futile that can feel. How does one learn to love themselves when they do not have any idea what that looks like or feels like?  But determination and great courage have kept me going and I have overcome so much. Consequently I feel stronger, happier and more peaceful than ever before. Through my personal experience, I have learned that self-love is the single most important art you can ever teach yourself for within self love are found the keys that unlock every other prison door and sets you completely free.

One beautiful human being that was so instrumental in helping me along this journey is the famous Teal Swan: The Spiritual Catalyst. Her background of abuse and torture is hard to even listen to and yet she has gone on to learn self-love and to teach others what she has learned. Now she has published a new book titled, “Shadows Before Dawn: Finding the Light of Self-Love Through our Darkest Times.” The following is her speaking on her journey to self-love at a book signing at Watkins in London. What she says in this video can help you to begin the wonderful and courageous journey to self-love!

Wishes

Wishes2

Up in the pine-scent mountains and down along the salty seasides you will find large seed-pods of nature fairies. Unlike the ones found in city, these beautiful mountain dandelions stand 2-3 feet high and are as big a round as a baseball.

To the unaware, they go almost unoticed. But to those who are alive to the magic of the universe, you can sense their call as you pass by, “Wishes! Wishes! Come tell us your wishes and we’ll make them come true!”

Gently I enfold a handful of these little white nature fairies into my palms and whisper my wishes to them; I blow them up and out onto the fragrant breezes. Dancing merrily in the winds, with the purpose of a secret mission, they disperse into the vast endless sky of possibility.

At the close of the day, a knowing smile etches it’s way across my sun-weathered face as I remember my fairy friends, radiant with the promise of sunlight!

Climbing the Vibrational Ladder

High vibrations is a place of love, trust, peace and serenity.  This current time world has a lot of low-vibrational activity going on all around us. Yet we have the capacity to begin to climb the vibrational ladder. Every thought and every action we execute has the potential to either raise or lower our vibrational state. Our mood begins with our thoughts which are generated by our perceptions of what is happening around us and how we interpret them.

Here is a personal example:

An individual came up to me and decidedly pronounced that California was going to have a famine. Alarmed, I asked, “What? Why?” She then told me that the government was not allowing farmers to water their crops. This person had perceived that this was a really bad thing and then interpreted it as a sure path to a state wide famine. She was in a low vibration and it was rippling out on me. But I decided to arrest the thought. I realized that this was her interpretation of what was going to happen. In putting this emotionally charged thought form out into the universe, she is likely to manifest this very thing happening- unless those who practice changing up the vibrations intercede. She will continue to spiral down the vibrational ladder unless she stops herself. This in turn will attract more of these worries and stories into her life. She has become a vibrational match to them.

What could she have done differently about this piece of news she heard?

She could pray for rain.
She could visualize a lush green state.
She could be more thoughtful about her own water usage. and
She could be more appreciative for the abundance of water she now enjoys.
She could advocate for the farmers right to water their farms.

These all would be higher vibrations than the resignation that she had given in to.

universe withinVibrations are emitted into the universe by literally every thing we think, do and say. Your vibrations affect everyone/everthing else around you. There are numberless ways to change up vibrations.  We could eat a colorful salad instead of greasy french fries, watch an uplifting movie instead of a violent one, do fifteen sit-ups instead of staring in the mirror for five minutes bemoaning our weight gain, add bright cheerful pillows to a dull couch or bed or put out a vase of fragrant flowers. If you really want to put this immediately into practice try SMILING- whether or not someone is looking. You will be surprised how you step right up that vibrational ladder.

Become more aware of the impact the vibrations others are having on you. You might be out driving, listening to music, feeling happy and then someone cuts you off or tailgates you; notice your vibrations being affected. How can you change them up? By arresting those reactions and refocusing your mind on what keeps you in a high vibrational state. Sometimes its that one person who says something or does something rude towards us that we let rankle inside us the rest of the day. If you find yourself disturbed by someone elses peevishness, ask yourself, “what is going right today?” It will help to shift your focus and raise your vibrations.

Vibrations are also affected by our self-care. Sometimes taking a nap is really needed. Honor that! And sometimes you need to get out in nature and just soak in some of it’s pure, magical essence. Do it! Make self care a priority in your life.

Our vibrations matter because on an energetic level, like attracts like. Most people have heard the story of the two wolves within- the good wolf and the bad wolf and how the one that survives and thrives is the one that we feed. That is so true on a vibrational level. When we feed good vibrations we attract to ourselves and ultimately into the universe, high vibrations- good things.

eyesIf you are anything like me, you have felt many times overwhelmed by all the issues and serious problems this world is facing. You may feel helpless, like you really can’t do anything about it. I say, YES YOU CAN! Changing up your vibrations one step at a time is the single most powerful action you can take in this world. It has the potential to bring you complete soul-satisfaction and to affect others in the same way. No matter where we are, no matter what is happening, we can always take a little step up, even if it is as simple as a smile or an earnest prayer whispered from the heart.

Embracing the Art of Manifestation

Manifestation is the hype of this age. Many people are tirelessly seeking out information and educators on manifestation with a desire to create the reality that they crave. As new as the idea or concept is to some, manifestation has always been a part of life. Awareness of how it is working in your life and what influences the vibrations that mold your reality, is key to creating a life of intention.

Much of religion manipulate vibrations through changing habits, through prayer, and creating new thought forms by way of scripture study. The Christian Bible has a scripture that says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” In order to effectively manifest, vision is imperative. The clearer the vision, the more detailed, the more longed for and felt in the heart, the stronger the vibrations are put out into our universe and hence manifest into this reality. When a person prays earnestly with a distinct desire envisioned- that prayer is answered; so if the prayer was for healing of an infirmity, healing comes.

Child-like enchantmentManifestation can be synonymous with prayer, intentions, or magic; They all have the same powerful purpose behind them- to manipulate and change what is, into what is desired. And for what purpose? It is to create happiness and satisfaction. Life regains child-like excitement and magic when we begin to understand and embrace the art of manifestation;  the earth becomes a wondrous playground, full of enchantments waiting to be discovered.

We can begin our day in Spirit and truth; looking within to what resonates with self. We set our intentions of what we want the day to feel like- what we desire to experience. Go within and ask yourself what you need today to be like so it will be a good day. If you can, write it down, or record your intentions in a voice recorder. Do you want to feel relaxed? Do you desire assistance in something? To you want to experience love and connection? Whatever you desire this day, enter this desire first within your own soul in connection to Spirit. Feel it, embrace it. What does today as a perfect day look like?

At the end of the day, reexamine your intentions? Did they manifest? You will be surprised at how effective this can be. As you practice you will be impressed by how much of a cocreator you truly are in this physical dimension. Step out of the boxes you have locked your self away in. Open yourself up to the infinite universe. Possibilities are endless. This is never selfish, because when you manifest happiness, you raise your vibrations and thus the vibrations of the entire universe. There is a ripple effect- high vibrations affects everyone for the better!

ocean magicYesterday I took a road trip to the coast with several other people. I kept my vibration open to magic and excitement. When we arrived at our destination, we picnicked then went for a walk along the beach. For me, the earth was an exciting, magical place. I knew it. I felt it. I found beauty and enchantment in everything around me; an old wooden arch and stairway leading to the beach was a portal into another dimension. The seedpods from a thistle were fairies that carried our wishes into the winds. I wished that the day would be filled with special magical moments, and then I blew them all away.

I prayed for our safety and protection and rested in assurance of it. The day was beautifully overcast and cool. I soaked as much of earths beauty as I could into my soul. Whenever someone put out a negative vibration- with words or moods, I strengthened the high vibrations I set which affected positive change in the negative vibrations.

Driving home we spotted what we at first thought were dolphins. I quickly pulled off to the side of the road and we jumped out of the car. There were probably fifty-plus seals jumping about the waters, and swimming around them was a pod of Orca whales. Gorgeous and majestic they enchanted us with their magic for a good fifteen minutes. One member of our group excitedly exclaimed that she set intentions that morning to see a whale. On the drive home we read Shamanic meanings of seeing Orcas and seals and each of us found soul-satisfying synchronicties. I knew my wish for magical moments had seen it’s zenith for the day. We loathed to leave that place of serendipity- manifestation at its finest!

Many people believe that the art of manifestation is all about getting things you want. While attaining things can be a fun part of manifestation, the real art is in creating a life that is enchanting, magical, fun and brilliant. Its about being present- its about experience, growth and learning. The earth is our platform waiting to be discovered and rediscovered through an infinity of perspectives. The sky is the limit. The universe is magical!
